highlights of our alumni's incredible careers and achievements, from philanthropy and social awareness to

Christopher Jackson
Emmy-winning actor/composer Christopher Jackson is best known for his Tony-nominated starring roles on Broadway as Benny in In the Heights and George Washington in Hamilton. His Broadway performance as George Washington was filmed and later released on Disney+. Christopher also starred in the Broadway productions After Midnight, Bronx Bombers, Holler If Ya Hear Me, Memphis, and The Lion King. He is a founding member and recurring guest performer in Broadway’s Freestyle Love Supreme, which won a Special 2020 Tony Award. Film credits include the Hulu documentary We are Freestyle Love Supreme, voicing Chief Tsui on Disney’s Moana, After Life and Tracers. As a composer, he was nominated for his 3rd Daytime Emmy Award for Best Original Song for “Queen of Nacho Picchu” for Sesame Street. Chris took home the 2011 Emmy for writing “What I Am,” also for Sesame Street. Chris released a R&B solo album In the Name of Love and has written music for LL Cool J, Ne-Yo, Mario and Sean Kingston. Christopher currently stars as Chunk Palmer in the CBS drama Bull and will star in Sex and the City’s highly anticipated revival, And Just Like That…, coming to HBO Max. His other television work includes roles in the When They See Us, the HBO drama Oz and guest appearances on Gossip Girl, Nurse Jackie, and The Good Wife. He recently signed a first-look deal with CBS Studios.
Tyne Daly
Tony Award winner, six-time Emmy winner, and American Theatre Hall of Fame inductee Tyne Daly recently played recurring character Phyllis in the Murphy Brown reboot, and starred as Evelyn in the romantic comedy Basmati Blues. Tyne’s previous Broadway roles include Katharine Gerard in Mothers and Sons, Maria Callas in Master Class, Nat in Rabbit Hole, Madame Arkadina in The Seagull, and Rose in Gypsy. She won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Gypsy, and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Rabbit Hole. With a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and over 97 film and TV credits to her name, Tyne won four Emmy Awards for her role in the 1980’s series Cagney & Lacey, as well as an Emmy Award for her performances in both CBS’ Christy as Alice Henderson and Judging Amy as Maxine Gray.
Caissie Levy
Caissie Levy was cast as Maureen in the U.S. National Tour of Rent just one week after graduating, leading to her Broadway debut as Penny in Hairspray. Cassie’s star continued to rise as she played iconic roles on Broadway such as Elphaba in Wicked, Fantine in Les Miserable, and Sheila in the Tony Nominated revival of Hair. She went on to originate the role of Molly in Ghost: The Musical in London’s West End and on Broadway. Caissie then originated Elsa in the wildly successful Broadway production of Frozen. Wowing audiences with her rendition of “Let It Go,” Caissie has performed the hit song on “The View” and at the 2018 Tony Awards. Caissie currently stars as Rose Stopnick Gellman in the Broadway revival of Caroline, or Change. In addition to her musical theatre career, Caissie is an established recording artist across genres. Her debut solo album, With You, includes reimagined arrangements of hit songs from her Broadway shows. Caissie headlined Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops, and has performed to sold out crowds across the United States, Canada, and the UK.
Anthony Ramos
AMDA graduate Anthony Ramos rose to fame as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in the original Broadway cast of the hit sensation Hamilton. Anthony’s Emmy-nominated performance can be seen in homes around the world in the filmed version of Broadway’s Hamilton on Disney+. Now making his mark in television and film, Anthony stars in Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It (Mars Blackmon), A Star is Born (Ramon) alongside Lady Gaga, HBO’s In Treatment (Eladio), Trolls World Tour (King Trollex), and in the hit film adaptation of In the Heights (Usnavi). Most recently, Anthony starred in the films Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (Noah Diaz), The Bad Guys (Mr. Piranha), and Dumb Money (Marcus). Upcoming film projects include Distant and Twisters. A successful recording artist and songwriter, he has released two solo albums titled The Good & The Bad (2019) and Love and Lies (2021) and is featured on the original motion picture soundtracks for Space Jam: A New Legacy, Trolls World Tour, and In the Heights.

Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs
AMDA Associate of Occupational Studies Degree and Certificate Graduates are eligible to earn a Bachelor of Fine
Arts degree in Acting, Music Theatre, Dance or Performing Arts by transferring in 60 performance credits
and completing 30 performance and 30 general education credits.
Note: Additional coursework may be required if you are applying for a BFA Program outside of
your AOS or Conservatory discipline.

Advanced Certificate
AMDA Certificate and AOS Graduates are eligible to earn an Advanced Certificate in Performing Arts with a concentration in Acting, Acting for Camera, Musical Theatre or Dance by transferring in 60 performance credits and completing remaining 30 credits.
Note: Additional coursework may be required if applying for an Advanced Certificate program outside of the original discipline.

OBTAINING A TRANSCRIPT
Your Student Portal can be used to print unofficial transcripts of your coursework and grades. Official
transcripts may be ordered through Parchment and received by mail or electronically.

AMDA is so pleased to announce the AMDA Legacy Scholarship Program which will offer special tuition scholarships
for the children and grandchildren of AMDA Alumni.

Access a newly expanded library of video content created exclusively for AMDA students and alumni. The AMDA On-Demand library
includes content regarding athletic performance, mental health, open fitness, open dance, and vocal heath. New
videos will be uploaded weekly, so check back regularly.
ACCESS TO PRACTICE SPACE / REHEARSAL SUPPORT
Frequently, AMDA is able to provide practice space and rehearsal support for alumni to prepare for auditions. Alumni must be cleared for campus access and possess a valid Alumni ID to visit campus. View on-campus policies and learn more about the campus access clearance process here.
