Dr. Douglas Mattingly is a guitarist, songwriter, arranger, music director, sound designer, film and commercial music composer, writer, editor, actor, and dialogue editor. He most recently released "In Defense of Daydreaming", a guitar-centered album of original instrumentals. He wrote, performed and produced the rock albums Who You Are, Building a Monastery (Album of the Year, Citypaper) and Love and Logic. He has performed in theatrical productions from Mamet to Shakespeare and in several independent feature and short films, commercials and promos. Doug's proficiency in a variety of musical genres has kept him in demand as a studio guitarist and sideman for live projects. As an instructor, Doug is committed to helping students become fully realized professional artists.
