Originally from Queretaro Mexico, America started her dance training at a very young age with the Royal Academy of Dance, focusing in classical ballet and European character dances. Later on she trained in Vaganova and Cuban Methodology.

As a New York based professional actress, singer, educator and choreographer, some of her favorite credits include the role of 'Pepe' in Too Many Girls, 'Delee' in Smokey Joe's Cafe, "Cindy/Dynamite" in Hairspray, Hattie u/s in Kiss me Kate, "Isabela" in Take me America; Porgy & Bess (with DiCapo NY Opera Company, International tour), Bizet's Opera Carmen (with Querétaro State Philharmonic), among others. She toured throughout South America as a member of "Mexico Folklorico". America was the associate choreographer for Backbeard the musical for the New York Musical Festival 2017. She holds over 15 years of experience as a Dance teacher in Mexico and the United States of America.

America has been part of the Dance and Musical Theatre Faculty Departments at AMDA NY since 2014, and since 2022 at the LA campus. She travels as a Ballet Guest teacher to different dance schools throughout the country and internationally. She is a PBT certified teacher and American Ballet Theater (pp to L.3) certified teacher.

America enjoys spending time hiking and birding with her husband and her four legged girl 'Salsa', the most crazy and love-demanding english bull terrier!
