Bryan Blaskie is a composer, music director, and theatre educator from Columbus, Ohio. His music has been performed in LA and New York in collaboration with organizations such as American Opera Projects, the Brooklyn Museum, A Little New Music, and Lincoln Center. His musical ASSISTANTS (with Respawn's Manny Hagopian) premiered Off-Broadway in 2019. The original LA production won 3rd Place in NMI's Search for New Musicals, was deemed Best World Premiere Musical by StageScene LA and the #1 Can't Miss Show by Time Out LA, and was a Next Link Finalist and official selection at the New York Musical Theatre Festival and the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival. His opera OUTSIDE (with Seth Christenfeld) premiered at NYC's historic Stonewall Inn as part of World Pride 2019. Other musicals include AMELIA: MORE THAN A MYSTERY (with Emmy Award Nominee Kat Radley), NOTHING TO SEE HERE (New York Theatre Barn), and VICTORIAN COURTING & ZOMBIES (New York Film Academy).
Bryan is a graduate of Denison University and NYU Tisch's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
