Jason Chaet is a multiple award winning filmmaker, theatre director, editor, producer and acting teacher based in New York City. He got his start at the Ensemble Studio Theatre where he developed new work by playwrights including David Mamet and Arthur Miller. His feature film Putzel (starring Jack Carpenter, Melanie Lynskey, Susie Essman, and John Pankow) won multiple awards, appeared in over fifty film festivals around the world, and was distributed internationally. His most recent feature film Senecawon multiple awards on the film festival circuit including the prestigious Ultra Indie award at the Woodstock Film Festival, and Best Picture and Best Director at the Phoenix Film Festival. The film aired exclusively for two years on HBO and is now available internationally on all digital platforms. Currently, Jason is directing The Justice, a James Patterson original audio series for Audible. At AMDA, Jason served for years as the Supervisor of First Semester Acting, and now serves as Chair of the Camera Division and Head of the Camera Program.
