AMDA Faculty since: 2015

Andrea Covais has been a member of the Voice faculty at AMDA New York since October 2015. She is also a member of the Voice faculty in the Evening Division of The Juilliard School. Andrea has performed opera, musical theater, chamber music, and recital throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada. She has won the NATS competition, was a finalist at the NJ Association of Verismo Opera Competition, was finalist at the David Adams Art Song competition, and won the John J. Cali Music Scholarship from Montclair State University. She holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music and Montclair State University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at City University of New York. Andrea is the Director of Music at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Tenafly, NJ.
