Brandon Ilaw is currently a percussionist on a two-year fellowship with Ensemble ACJW. He won 2nd prize in the 2014 TROMP International Percussion Competition and has appeared as guest soloist with Asko|Schönberg, Orchestra of Indian Hill, and The Boston Conservatory Orchestra. He was also featured as a Showcase Artist at the 2015 Zeltsman Marimba Festival, which included performances with Emmanuel Séjourné, Marimolin, and Steve Mackey. As an educator, he has given recitals and masterclasses at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Boston Conservatory, and the Juilliard Summer Percussion Seminar. Brandon holds a B.M. from The Boston Conservatory where he was awarded the Arthur B. Whitney Award for highest academic rank and an M.M. from The Juilliard School where he was the recipient of the William Schuman Prize for Outstanding Achievement and Leadership.
