Mélissa Guérin-Torres is a French professional dancer, choreographer and instructor. She started her dance career as a ballerina touring Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty in France.
Mélissa toured worldwide for seven years for two Belgium Performing Art companies, Troubleyn/Jan Fabre and NeedCompany with pieces that were 4, 8 and 24 hours long. She performed for the National Performing Art Center in Taiwan, ImPulsTanz Festival in Austria, Festival of Art of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Roma Europa Festival in Italy, Festivals in Brazil, Greece, Mexico, Germany and other locations.
Open to new artistic vision, Mélissa worked for diverse choreographers for European productions and joined the Brussels Opera in Belgium. In collaboration with visual artists, she extended her field by performing in museums such as the Shanghai Ming Contemporary Art Museum in China and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
In Los Angeles, Mélissa performed in short dance films that have been showcased to International Festivals. She appears in commercials and tv shows and performed on stage for American productions.
