David is a Broadway veteran of 15 years and an Associate Professor of Theatre at Stockton University, where he teaches courses on Acting for Musical Theatre, Lyric Writing, The Business of Theatre, and more. As a composer/lyricist: Lincoln Center; Feinstein's/54 Below; Joe's Pub; CBGB; performed by such acclaimed artists as Leslie Odom Jr., Celisse Henderson, Gavin Creel, and Laura Dreyfuss. As an actor: Broadway: Good Vibrations; National Tour: Mamma Mia!; La Scala Opera House: West Side Story; Off-Broadway/Regionally: Playwrights Horizons, Theatre Row, Weston Playhouse, and more. As a director: World Premieres: The Family Project by Matt Gould & Griffin Matthews and Maximilien Robespierre Did Nothing Wrong by Alex Sage Oyen & Nora Brigid Monahan; also: Mamma Mia!; Into the Woods; Avenue Q. David has also worked for Marc Platt Productions and on Andrew Lippa's Big Fish. He holds an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU, an M.A. in Music Theory from CUNY, and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from University of Michigan, where he is proud to have been mentored by the late, great Opera legend, Shirley Verrett.
