Faculty

Dr. Marisol Santana is a classically trained performing artist. She has written, performed and produced theatre and multimedia art shows in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris and Florence, Italy. In 2011, her play Fashion the Musical won Best Overall Musical for the West Village Musical Theatre Festival at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre. She is a pioneer of TESOL Drama, an approach to teaching English through drama to teachers and students internationally. She is a recipient of the Haven Foundation Grant (founded by Stephen King), the Dramatist Guild Playwriting Grant, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts/California Arts Council Grant, Max's Kansas City Project Grant, Moser-Burton Art Education Fellowship, Lily  Endowment for the Arts Scholarship and the Ahmanson Arts Foundation Scholarship.
