Oliver N. Greene Jr., baritone, is native of La Grange, Georgia. He has performed principal roles and excerpts in Amahl and the Night Visitors (Menotti), Porgy and Bess (Gershwin), Don Giovanni (Mozart), Rigoletto (Verdi) and Carmen (Bizet). He has performed roles in The Herndon's (Sharon Willis), The Magic Flute (Mozart) and Cosi fan tutte (Mozart) with Americolor Opera company, and in The Woman at the Well (Dwight Andrews) at the National Black Arts Festivals. He was a featured soloist in the bicentennial celebration of African Methodist Episcopal Church, performing "Largo al Factotum" at the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC, and appeared in From Harlem to Broadway, a touring production of excepts from the black Broadway musicals. As a member of the Ensemble Jubalaté, he performed excerpts from operas, and solo and four-part arrangements of spirituals in the US, Italy, and Bermuda. As a current member of Amandla: A Vocal Duo he has performed staged excerpts from opera and musical theatre, and jazz standards and spirituals in NY, Philadelphia and the Atlanta area.
