Jamal Wade is a director, choreographer, and performer based in Los Angeles. He began his formal dance training on scholarship with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre and performed in local productions alongside notable names like Debbie Allen and New Venture Theatre. Jamal moved to Los Angeles to study at AMDA, where he graduated with a BFA in Dance Theatre.
His credits showcase work with artists such as Swae Lee, Ingrid Michaelson, City James, Snoop Dog, Pink, and Beyoncé. He has appeared in commercials for major brands like Sprite, Chevy, Burger King, and Toyota. Jamal's choreography/movement direction credits include collaborations with Krewella, Ambre, Josh Dean, and Ari Lennox. Notably, his directorial debut, "American Dream" by Willie Jones, was nominated for the CMT Country Music Awards Video of the Year.
Jamal is eager to share his experiences with AMDA's talented students, aiding them in realizing their dreams as performing artists.
