Michael Bishop is a professor of American Studies, with expertise in modernism, contemporary American literature, critical theory, visual culture, and comics. Within these fields, Bishop has researched extensively on comics, visuality in modernity, narratology, and contemporary poetry. His teaching at AMDA incorporates these research interests and includes courses on composition and rhetoric. Before coming to AMDA, Bishop has taught at CUNY, Bryan University, College of New Rochelle, and Mercy University.
