Justin Halle (they/he) is a NYC-based playwright whose work has been performed and developed by theaters across NYC and America, including Roundabout, La Mama ETC, Red Bull Theater, the Lucille Lortel, Samuel French/Concord Theatricals, the Vineyard, and Joe's Pub. Justin's play VILE ISLE recently opened The Tank's 2024-2025 season to critical acclaim, including from The New Yorker's Helen Shaw, who called the play "superb...scrappy and stunning. Goofy but also deeply moral." Justin is a recent finalist for the Princess Grace Award in Playwriting, the Terrence McNally Fellowship at Rattlestick, and the Columbia @ Roundabout New Play Award. Justin's work has been published in "Best of Red Bull Theater's Short New Plays" and "WE/US: Monologues for the Gender Minority." Additionally, Justin works as a freelance dramaturg on operas produced by The Why Collective and the Cincinnati Opera. BFA: NYU/ETW.
