An experienced voice teacher appearing widely as a performer in musical theater productions and on Television, Tiffan is the protégé of Dr. Florence Birdwell, described by The New York Times as the "fairy godmother voice teacher to Kristen Chenoweth and Kelli O'Hara" and with whom she studied for 18 years, a duration that included her time at Oklahoma City University where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's in Musical Theater. Tiffan is honored to pass on Dr. Birdwell's principles, first-rate vocal technique, love of words and communication, and artistry through song. Additionally, Tiffan is a certified teacher of Andrew Byrne's Vocal Athlete Method. Tiffan infuses these concepts along with her methods derived from over two decades of voice teaching experience to help students feel knowledgeable, empowered and authentic in the studio and industry.
For the past 12 years, Tiffan has specialized in Gifted & Talented Vocal Prep with Acting Out: Brooklyn's Premiere Acting School, championing hundreds students to earn a better middle and high school education through their art. Her student have accomplished leading roles on the Broadway & National Tours circuit ranging from Gypsy, Les Miserables, White Christmas, A Bronx Tale, and Falsettos. She currently teaches on the Voice Faculty at 92NY and has taught on the voice faculty at Concordia Conservatory and Lyric Theatre Thelma Gaylord Academy, and as a Music Teacher at the Abraham Joshua Heschel School.
Tiffan has paved a performance career portraying iconic vocalists for Musical Theater of the '50s & '60s, leading National Tours as 'Patti Page' in Flipside: The Patti Page Story, 'Dyanne' in Million Dollar Quartet, 'Doris Day' in Doris Day: My Secret Love and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof Off-Broadway. Theatre credits include leading roles at The York Theatre, Theatre By The Sea, The Barter Theatre, Laguna Playhouse and Maine State Music Theatre. She has been seen on Television in Law & Order: SVU, Sweetbitter, FBI, and The Loudest Voice in the Room.
She is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing where serves on their board for Musical Theatre Development.
