Broadway Rising Stars 2015

Broadway Rising Stars, an annual celebration of “the brightest talent" chosen from top college and conservatory performing arts programs, performs Monday, July 13, 2015, at 8 p.m. This spectacular display of young, gifted, up-and-coming professionals takes place at The Town Hall in New York City, a non-profit national landmark founded by suffragists in 1921.

The performance, written and hosted by Scott Siegel and directed by Scott Coulter, appreciates three AMDA alumni this year: Francesca Capetta, Pepe Nufrio and Coco Smith. In addition to AMDA, Broadway Rising Stars boasts a lineup from CAP 21, Circle in the Square, Juilliard, Marymount Manhattan, The New School, NYU, Pace and more.

Have you ever wondered where the phrase “not a bad seat in the house” comes from? According to The Town Hall website, the original Hall design eliminated box seats and made sure that no seats had an obstructed view, giving birth to the term every theatre hopes it can use. If you want to grab your seat with its unhampered view of tomorrow’s musical theatre stars, visit The Town Hall at 123 West 43rd Street in New York City or on Ticketmaster.
