WHAT IS INCLUDED IN AN AMDA OPEN HOUSE?

ALUMNI PANEL:

Every AMDA Open House event features an exciting Q & A with notable AMDA graduates, where you’ll learn how their AMDA experience helped shape their careers as Broadway performers, TV/Film stars, Dancers for stage and screen, and respected industry professionals.

Past speakers include Maria Bilbao (Sweeney Todd), Leandra Ellis-Gaston (Six), Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Jarvis B. Manning Jr. (Some Like It Hot), Anastacia McClesky (Suffs), and Allison Sheppard (Jagged Little Pill National Tour).

AMDA is excited to announce the talented and diverse graduates joining us for our upcoming NY and LA Open House events.

NEW YORK CAMPUS (August 10, 2024)

Danielle Marie Gonzalez graduated from AMDA’s Integrated Conservatory at the New York campus. Gonzalez recently starred as “Miss Argentina” in the Beetlejuice National Tour, and previously appeared in Off-Broadway productions of Rock of Ages and Clueless, the Musical.

Presley Gookin graduated from AMDA with a Dance Theatre BFA, attending both the New York and Los Angeles campuses. Gookin recently completed her second season as a Cast Member and Dancer in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and previously performed aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines.

Camryn Hampton graduated from AMDA with a Musical Theatre BFA, attending both the New York and Los Angeles campuses. Hampton is a current Cast Member in the Off-Broadway hit revival of Little Shop of Horrors, and previously performed in the 2021 National Tour of Charlie and Chocolate Factory.

JD Martin graduated from AMDA’s Studio Conservatory at the New York campus. Martin currently stars as "Corey Marks" in CBS' FBI: Most Wanted and appeared in the television series Manifest and Moonshine.

LOS ANGELES CAMPUS (August 10, 2024)

J. Elaine Marcos graduated from AMDA’s Integrated Conservatory at the New York campus. Marcos currently stars as "Sally De Bain" in Hollywood's Reefer Madness: The Musical and played the role of “Alexi Darling” in Fox’s RENT: Live.

Nick Signor graduated from AMDA with a Dance Theatre BFA, attending both the New York and Los Angeles campuses. Signor is a Professional Dancer for Stage, TV and Film and recently performed in Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Ahkei Togun graduated from AMDA with an Acting BFA, attending both the New York and Los Angeles campuses. Togun is an Event Producer, Actor and Poet, and starred in the short film Free Machine.

CAMPUS TOUR AND INFO SESSIONS:

In addition to seeing AMDA first-hand by taking a campus tour, you will have the opportunity to speak with current AMDA students and faculty to get the inside scoop about life at AMDA. You’ll have time to ask questions about AMDA’s programs, curriculum, and how to prepare for your AMDA audition.

WORKSHOPS:

Another highlight of AMDA’s Open House events is workshops. Workshops give participants a taste of what the classroom is like at AMDA. With options including Acting for Camera, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Stage Combat, there is something for everyone.

AMDA SWAG AND FREE LUNCH:

You will never leave an AMDA Open House empty handed. Score lots of fun AMDA swag and enjoy a free lunch! Who doesn’t love free stuff?

AMDA’s Open House events are designed to provide prospective students with the resources to help make the college selection process a bit easier. We look forward to seeing you on campus this August or at a future Open House event!
