REMEMBERING AMDA LA FACULTY MEMBER, SEAN VIATOR

We are so sad to share the news that former AMDA faculty member, Sean Viator, passed away on May 3, 2024. Although Sean has not taught on campus for a few years, his positive impact on our community and on the students he taught will continue to be felt through the years.

Sean was a very talented dancer and choreographer who performed on many awards and TV shows such as the Billboard Music Awards and American Idol. Sean’s family shared the following information in his obituary: In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a scholarship in Sean's honor - a dance scholarship in his name at The University of Arizona school of dance in Tucson.

While the Celebration of Life ceremony is not local to campus (it is in Louisiana), the family is inviting all to join in a Celebration of Life ceremony at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, May 10, 2024. Visiting hours will be from 12:30pm until Memorial Services at 2:30pm. The family asks all attendees to please feel free to wear your favorite color, so that they may brighten up the room in Sean's honor.
