WDM USA Comes to AMDA Los Angeles in 2015

AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts and the World Dance Movement (WDM)-The International Workshop—will combine forces June 17 - 22, 2015, for the inaugural World Dance Movement USA!

WDM is a leader in the international dance scene and is a highly respected source for bridging cultures through dance. Hosted by AMDA Los Angeles, the event will give dancers unique opportunities to study and create with top European and U.S. dance instructors and choreographers right in the middle of Hollywood.

Classes will take place against a backdrop of the world-famous Hollywood Sign and the renowned Capitol Records building—which can be seen right outside our dance studio windows—and with the pulse of the Hollywood entertainment industry all around.

After a week of daily technique, choreography and repertory classes led by international master teachers, WDM culminates in a thrilling gala performance. And if that’s not enough, the World Dance Movement will give out more than 75 scholarships amounting to more than $125,000 to dance organizations all over the world, such as the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, the Broadway Dance Center in New York City, Studio Harmonic in Paris, and the International Dance Studio of Madrid.

AMDA Dance Theatre, with a focus on theatrical, commercial and concert dance performance, will also audition interested students for admission and scholarship consideration to its LA and NY campuses!
