  3. Wednesday, October 16th:
    · Orientation Check-in and Move-in (Incoming Integrated Students)
    · Parent Reception at 3:30pm EST (Parents and Guardians of Incoming Integrated Students)
  4. Wednesday, October 16th-Sunday, October 20th:
    · Required In-person Orientation Seminars and Activities (Incoming Integrated Students)
  5. Thursday, October 17th:
    · Orientation Check-in and Move-in (Incoming Studio, Dance and Acting for Camera Students)
    · Parent Reception at 3:30pm EST (Parents and Guardians of Incoming Studio, Dance and Acting for Camera Students)
  6. Thursday, October 17th-Sunday, October 20th:

Please Note:

  1. Parents should not schedule activities with their students during the Orientation week(s) and weekend(s) beginning the first day of In-person Orientation through Sunday, October 20th, 2024.
  2. Above dates are subject to change.

Our required Hybrid Orientation will be a mix of pre-recorded sessions, Zoom presentations, group, or departmental meetings and in-person activities. Orientation schedules will be available to students on the first day of Orientation. It is recommended that each student dedicate between 4-6 hours each week for Orientation assignments and meetings, as well as spending at least a small portion of each day logging in to the online platform (for emails, notifications, etc.). Our Hybrid Orientation will also include optional activities to introduce students to a wide variety of resources to help prepare them for the rigors of classwork.

Housing Information:

HEALTH AND WELLNESS FORMS:

AMDA's two Health and Wellness forms can be found below, both forms are required in order for you to begin classes.

The Student Health Certificate can be completed by the student, if under 18 years old a parent or guardian will need to sign the form. This form is to collect your health insurance information, emergency contact information and general health history.

The Physician health certificate needs to be completed by a Physician. This form will collect your vaccination history and serve as a pre-admissions physical to ensure you are able to safely participate in the program and attend classes.

Orientation Checklist

INTEGRATED: INDIVIDUAL VOICE ASSESSMENT

This assessment will be used by our Voice Department to place you with an individual voice instructor that best meets your background and experience during Orientation. Deadline to complete the assessment is Friday, September 13th, 2024.

STUDIO: ELECTIVE SELECTION

This form will be used to determine registration for available electives. Deadline to complete the form is Friday, September 13th, 2024.

STUDIO ENROLLMENT INFO

Dance and Acting for Camera students do not have any tasks required prior to orientation activities.

The student portal offers students valuable information such as class schedule, grades, financial aid info, forms and documents, etc. Please sign in to review your account.

AMDA Student Portal

AMDA coordinates housing assignments through our online Housing Portal, StarRez! With StarRez, all steps to secure housing at AMDA is completely online. Incoming students receive access to their AMDA email 60-days before their starting term, which then gives access to StarRez. Please keep an eye out for emails from the Office of Housing detailing when these applications are available.

AMDA New York Housing

This resource section is dedicated to supporting the interests of AMDA parents and families, and to promoting a sense of community for parents and families.
